Mr. Baghel gives instructions to evaluate crop damage due to rainfall and to provide financial aid as per the provisions of RBC


Raipur. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has instructed all the district collectors to make proper arrangements for storage of paddy in procurement centers so as to protect the stock from damage due to untimely rainfall. Chief Minister has said that the paddy stock should be properly covered and there should be a proper drainage system in the centers so that the paddy in the lower part is not spoiled. Chief Minister has also instructed Food Department officials to expedite the custom milling of paddy from the procurement centers.
It is noteworthy that this year, 8 thousand platforms have been constructed in the paddy procurement centers to protect paddy from damage due to rainwater. Chief Minister has also instructed the District Collectors to evaluate the damage due to unseasonal rains, if any, and provide financial assistance to the affected people under the provisions of Revenue Book Circular.
